On August 24 – 25, IESR Summer Workshop of “Supply Chain and Buyer-Seller Networks in Developing Countries” was successfully held. The event was coordinated by IESR Center for International Trade and Firms, Daniel Yi Xu (Duke University) and Jie Bai (Harvard University).
Scholars and experts from institutions including London School of Economics, University of Oslo, Sciences Po and Dartmouth College presented their latest research on international trade, industrial organization and development economics over the two-day workshop. Individual meetings were held after the presentation to generate discussions on data and policies on industrial development in a globalized economy and across various emerging markets.
Past events include the Workshop on Firms in Emerging Economies in 2017, 2018 and 2019 took place at Jinan University.
